Berry sur Cher is available
for rent for periods of one week or more. Please
contact us by email and let us know your preferred
dates and we will advise you of availability or suggest
alternative dates.
Generally, the house is available as follows:
May 1 – June 30:
$1,900/week
$3,500/two
weeks
August 1 – September 30:
$2,200/week
$4,000/two
weeks
October 1 – April 30:
$1,650/week
$3,000/two
weeks
Generally, the house is NOT available:
- the month of July
- Christmas thru New Years
General Rental Terms:
Maximum 6-8 adults, including
children over 8 years
No
children under 8 years
No pets
No smoking
Services:
Housekeeping will be provided prior to arrival, and
rental includes all linen, dishes and kitchen equipment.
Light housekeeping is also included once
a week – cleaning the kitchen, baths and floors.
Other housekeeping services can usually be arranged
with our housekeeper for a fee; arrangements should
be made directly with her upon arrival. Some
meal service and dishwashing can also be arranged if she is available.
Meals - there are 2 local chefs that can be hired for the week or for individual dinners. Please inquire when you rent so we can make sure they are available.
Bicycle rentals: there will be 2 touring bikes at the house, and we can give you information to arrange nearby bike rentals.
Welcome:
You will be greeted by our
English speaking neighbor, who will provide keys and
answer questions about the area (restaurants, etc.).
She will inspect the house with you prior to departure
to note any damages to be charged against your deposit.
Deposit and Rent:
There will be a minimum
$1,000 damage/breakage deposit on all rentals, which
will be due with the final rent payment.
Rent will be due and payable:
50% on signing rental
agreement
50% three weeks prior
to beginning of rental term, plus damage deposit due
at this time.
Cancellation:
A minimum 20% will be
retained by us in the event of any cancellation. 50%
will be retained on any cancellation made 60 days or
less prior to rental. In the summer season, we may retain 80% for last minute cancellations if we cannot secure another rental for the period in question.
Damage Deposit: Refundable portion will be paid
30 days after end of rental period.
Utilities:
Phone is available
for local calls only.
Electricity is included except:
In
winter months, there will be a charge for electric and
gas heating (75% of consumption for the rental period).
